For our Wednesday trip, the Arts and Entertainment group visited the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. We began our time there exploring the limited time Universal Theme Parks exhibition. The exhibit was sectioned off into 3 distinct experiences.
First, we walked into a recreation of the carriage used to give guided tours at the real universal studios. The windows were replaced with screens, and we were shown a brief history of the evolution of Universal Studios. Then, tumbling out of the carriage, our fascinating experience began. Bumbling through the spacious gallery, we experienced the true wonder of the magic of Universal. There were a ton of props, models, costumes, and interactive displays featuring characters that you’d find in any of the Universal Theme Parks. The truly delightful experience of being able to run our own animatronics and design our own roller coasters fulfilled our childlike wonders. After finishing the main Universal Exhibit, we had the opportunity to explore the other exhibits in the institute, such as Your Brain, Wondrous Space, and more!
