Today we started with a relaxing morning and enjoyed hanging out. Some watched movies and played basketball, while others headed straight to the pool. We continue to get to know each other and learn what we have in common. After a game of catch in the pool and lounging in the sun, it was time to get ready for our next shift at Give Kids the World. This time, we all had different assignments. Dhru and Katie spent time with the families who visited the Castle to hear about the magical fairies. Matt and Jon served the meals in Katie’s Kitchen. Rohan applied temporary tattoos, Foluke changed the colors of the children’s hair, and Nicole painted their nails in the Rockin’ Spa. Charlie manned the arcade, giving out the minature golf supplies. Lu, Mr. B, Jack, and Ben learned how busy it can get for food delivery, answering the phones to take families’ pizza orders and delivering them via golf cart in 30 minutes or less. We think we were better than Dominos! It was a wonderful night to learn more about the magical place that is the Give Kids the World Village.
