Day 1 of the Ireland, Wales, and England trip started off at 5:30 AM (1:30 AM USE) when our flight landed in Dublin, Ireland. We were welcomed after the 7 hour flight by our tour guide, Robert, aka The Fixer, and our professional bus driver, Noel.
We then took a three and a half hour bus ride to Killarney, Ireland. Halfway through, we stopped by a picturesque tidy town known as Adare to stretch our legs and grab a mid-morning pick-me-up. We then continued our trip to Killarney, stopping by St. Mary’s Cathedral prior to our arrival.
In Killarney, we treated ourselves to lunch at various locations. Afterwards, we made the short trek to check into Hotel Killarney which is where we will be staying for the next two days. After freshening up and a respite, we spent the next two hours walking down and around the shops of Killarney. After drumming up an appetite, we came back to the hotel for a traditional vegetable soup, beef stew dinner with cheesecake for dessert. Finally, we went back to our rooms and prepared for another action packed day to come.
