Preparation and Teamwork Are Key

Today was all about preparation and teamwork as we got ready for our cooking day tomorrow. We started by gathering bricks and other materials needed for the smoker, making sure everything was set up properly. Then we spent time cleaning the smoker so it would be ready to use. It took effort from everyone, but it felt good knowing we were getting everything prepared ourselves.

Later, we had a discussion and watched a video about the origins of barbecue and some interesting facts about it. It was cool to learn where barbecue comes from and how it has changed over time. This helped us understand that what we’re doing isn’t just cooking, but also part of a bigger cultural tradition.

After that, we began working on the ribs. We carefully prepared and seasoned the meat so it will be ready to cook tomorrow.

Everyone had a role, and it really showed how important teamwork is in cooking.

“I learned how to prepare beef ribs by trimming them, peeling off the membranes, and seasoning them with salt and pepper,” said Bersu. You could really see how each step mattered and how preparation can affect the final result.

Overall, today was a productive day focused on getting everything ready. We learned that preparation, patience, and teamwork is important, and we’re excited to see how everything turns out when we cook tomorrow.
