After a smooth seven hour flight we landed in Casablanca, Morocco.
First, feeling jetlagged, we stopped for coffee before we boarded our vans for Rabat. When we arrived at the Riad we played ice breakers and met our World Leadership School trip instructors Laurie, Madiha, and Khadija.
One of our orientation sessions was to journal about the difference between cultural ambassador and tourist and to think about the kind of group we want to be.
We also made a “goals” list of what we want to accomplish from the trip.
After that we played more card games and then went to dinner at Dar Naji with delicious Moroccan food and a fancy tea pouring ceremony. Afterwards, everyone was jetlagged from the long day so we went back to the Riad to go to sleep.
