SJ Service Reflections

At the end of a busy, successful week, here are the SJ Service group’s experiences summed up in a single word: wordle

This week in South Jersey Service we traveled to different organizations and helped in whatever way we could. On Friday we had fun helping out the workers at the Perkins Center for the Arts organize a closet and create compost baskets in preparation for their summer camp. On Monday we went the The Heart of Camden organization and helped them clean out their warehouse and clean up trashed filled lots near their property.  We could see the good we doing and we saw the impact on the community. The place was nicer after we finished. On Tuesday, we cleaned up Newton Lake. We picked up trash. There was trash everywhere. Each group had two full trash bags when we were done. We then learned about bugs that lived in the lake. Afterwards we went back to school and made cards. The cards are really pretty, and in total we are really proud of the work we have done this week. :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
