On our last day of Solar Energy IL we assembled all 18 petals of the Solar Parabolic Oven together. It was difficult trying to get the shape of the parabola just right.
We then constructed the cradle out of 2×4 boards and positioned the completed parabolic oven into it.
We were unable to test the oven due to low sun light. We will come together after break to test the oven for the Science and Engineering Expo.
Oreo Update:
Tragedy occurs a student was ravenously consuming their Oreo donut when it tragically fell on the ground, glaze first! For the final day of Oreo taste testing, we had Oreo donuts. They were a hit! 8/10.
