Tempe Meeting For Worship and Service

Today we visited the Tempe Meeting, where we also went last year. On this return trip to Tempe, we joined in their Meeting For Worship Sunday service, followed by a potluck lunch that they graciously provided for us.  During the lunch, the boys had the opportunity to meet and talk to several members of the meeting.

After lunch, we joined with a few Meeting members in doing service work around the property. The boys pulled up weeds, carried bricks and lumber, painted around the property, built shelving, filled fans, and were thoroughly outworked by a charming four-year old Arizonan named Fenella. Overall, I’d say we fulfilled the honeydo list for the Tempe Meeting.

Once we completed our service work, the team returned to the hotel for a game of touch football (with palm trees as yard markers) and pool volleyball to cool off.

Tomorrow, we’re off for a full day of service from 6:30 in the morning to 5:00 PM. We’ll update with our progress.
