An Educational Day

Today we stayed on campus to present what we learned throughout the week to the fourth grade classes here at MFS. Since they will be going to Camp Ockanickon in April, we wanted to give them an idea of what their experience would be like. In the process, we also gave the fourth graders a background on the ecology and history of the Pines.

We also spent some time editing the Jersey Devil videos we made the other day at Carranza Memorial. With a little music and titles, they turned out great! This afternoon we had a film festival, where we watched the final products, along with some other Jersey Devil documentaries. We all agreed that ours were the best, though!

As we get ready to close out the week, we realize how much we’ve learned throughout our different trips to the Pine Barrens, and how important an area it is to our state. We hope to get out there again sometime soon!
