This morning, we woke up bright and early at 4:30 a.m. to prepare for our 5:15 departure by water taxi to Belize City. It took a while for us to get going, as there were many residents starting their day, but we truly headed out at around 6:30.
The boat ride was a nice (but bumpy) journey where we could feel the amazing breeze and most of us dozed off at least once during the ride.
We arrived at 7:30 to Belize City. Shortly after, we boarded our tour bus and drove to the Belize Airport.
At the airport, everyone walked around, purchasing items from the gift shops. After a short delay, we boarded our plane to Charlotte, North Carolina at around 11:30 p.m., departing at 12:00.
What amazing experiences we all shared together on this IL trip, memories that will last a lifetime!
