China: Songs, dances, dumplings

photo 3Today we woke up in the village to a nice breakfast. After breakfast, some of us played majhong while the others went on a hike and shopped in the streets. We had lunch at our hotel, and we discussed our plans for the school we will be visiting tomorrow. We practiced the songs and dances we planned on teaching the students tomorrow, including Lean On Me, Cha Cha Slide, and The Cupid Shuffle.

We then drove down the mountain to the Cheng Du Opera, which was very interesting. It featured live instruments, a comedy show, traditional dances, and a very cool shadow puppet show. We were served delicious dumplings and we headed back to the hotel to get rest for the students tomorrow.
