Day Three
Annie
Today was amazing! We started out our day by visiting a small school after breakfast. We helped paint a playground and also some classrooms. We got to play with some of the local children. We all had an excellent meal of rice, salad, chips and pineapple juice together. When we finished the project, we said goodbye and stopped for ice cream at a local shop. It was delicious! After that, we came back and relaxed around the pool and lodge. We all met for dinner at 6 pm with more rice and salad!!! We finished the night with a night hike through the woods exploring many different bugs!!! Ew!! We are now preparing ourselves for the village. What a day!!!!
My favorite part of the day was getting to play with the children at the school! Also, the work that we did was so rewarding. I loved seeing the looks on the faces of the people after we finished. (The ice cream wasn’t so bad either!!)

My favorite part was painting the playground! We really made it look nice and it was fun painting with a bunch of different colors. It was fun to see all the kids play on it after the paint dried.

My favorite part of the day was playing with the kids. They were so cute and not afraid to talk and play with us. The language barrier was not a problem at all. It was cool to see the rooms after we were done painting and how happy the people were.
