Day Five: Foxes Back at Moorestown Friends

On our fifth and final day of the Foxes Go to College Intensive Learning group, we reviewed each of the colleges this week by completing college scorecard charts and reviewing with our groups. The first few hours of our day consisted of filling out the scorecard sheets we’ve been slowly working on throughout this past week. Once completely filled out, we shared our total ranked numbers on the sheet; from there, we examined each other’s rankings quickly and received short feedback from one of our group leaders, Chris LaTempa.

Later, we had an online meeting with Rebecca Leifer, the Assistant Director of Academic Advising at the Villanova University School of Business. She shared her experience of some strategies high school students can apply to their school and study life, like time management skills. She also gave us some advice on the college application process. At the end, she answered our questions about many topics, like the struggles some business students face. Overall, it was a great conversation.

Pros:  We learned a lot about the the college admission process. We learning that we should block out the noise from what other people say about your college experience, and we had a very eventful time from the time during this program.

Cons: It was a long day and we wished we could have visited another college. Some of the information felt a bit redundant.
