Day Three Glass Art: Tiffany Stained Glass Frames

Today was our second day at Wheaton Arts. We continued working on our projects from last time by creating a Tiffany stained glass frame. We started by taking a design that was pre-drawn by the teacher there. We cut each piece out and then traced it onto a piece of glass that we chose. Then we cut the glass using a scorer and broke it using a specialized type of pliers. We then used a grinder, which is a sander for glass. It uses water and diamonds to smooth out the edges of the glass and helps make them into our desired shape. These two processes were long and sometimes difficult, but fun at the same time. Can’t wait to return tomorrow! (-Olivia, Emily & Rebecca)
