The second day of quilting was just as fun as the first. Today we started off with a speaker from the Harmony Village, which is a nursing home for the memory impaired. Lauren the speaker who came talked about the causes and effects of dementia. Before starting her presentation on dementia, she gave us a coloring worksheet of a brain and told us to color three parts of the brain. Her point from this activity was to show us that all brains function differently. After she left we started to work on our quilts by cutting six inch squares and sewing them together.
