Exploring Animation, Day One

For the first day of Exploring Animation 2026, we spent the morning brainstorming ideas for the animation the groups are going to create, getting to know each other with play, and creating the beginnings of our project sets.

Mrs. Andorko’s pre-K class painted the background for their forest-themed animation set.

Garett’s Pre-K class and Upper Schoolers collaborated to create an underwater set using the previously made background and cut out marine figures with sand and rocks for their underwater treasure hunt-themed animation.

Mrs. Andorko’s Pre-K class made a wide variety of characters for their movie, ranging from colorful bunnies to butterflies and even unicorns.

At the end of clean-up time, the Pre-K class thought it was fun to see how high they could high-five the Upper School students; they were very successful.

We finished our day eating lunch with our new friends!
