Give Kids the World, Day Two — Food, fun, and shopping

For the second day of Intensive Learning, we were able to sleep in for the start of the morning. It was nice since we had a very busy day yesterday, as it was our arrival day. At 10 am, we went to Walmart as a group. We each shopped for groceries for ourselves and for our room. It was nice to be able to spend some bonding time together, while learning what we each enjoyed to eat, and finding similarities between them. We ended the trip with a group laugh at one of the rooms’ overfilled $400 cart.

After lunch, we all met up and headed down to the pool. At first, we were unsure of the experience. The water was freezing and for a group of 18, we only got two chairs. But all hesitations were gone when the last few jumped in. Our afternoon was full of pool games, chicken fights, funky sunglasses, and playing in the waterfalls.

Around 4 o’clock, it was time for our departure from the resort to Disney Springs. Everyone got to shop and adventure on their own time with their friends. All around us was delicious food, live music, and incredible stores. We explored the massive entertainment and shopping center where we visited different shops such as ones that sold merchandise for Marvel & Star Wars, Starbucks, and Disney. It was a great end to the night when we heard the fireworks from Magic Kingdom and witnessed the explosion from the volcano at Rainforest Cafe.
