Helping People One Lunch at a Time

Today we went to the Neighborhood Center in Camden, NJ. The Neighborhood Center is a daycare, soup kitchen, garden, gym, has Bible studies, and a summer camp. They serve a free lunch to anywhere from 50 to 350 people a day. There were many ways that we gained service hours. We cleaned the garden of rocks, helped out in the kitchen, stuffed over 1,ooo envelopes, sorted books in the library for the kids and set up the gym for lunch. We got to eat and socialize with the local people who come to the center for lunch. It was very pleasing to help the less fortunate. It is very inspiring that one center could help so many people in different ways.
