Final day! We all started off the day with a hotel breakfast before leaving for a nice later departure time of 9:00 AM. Before boarding our last coach ride of the trip, we posed for a group picture with the town of Middlesbrough in the background.
Once on the coach, we listened to a lovely presentation on Manchester United by THE Julia Brown #gomanunited. After the presentation we had two-and-a-half hours to talk and see tons of sheep out of the window before arriving at our hotel in Manchester. We then headed off to the tram station, which took us to the historic Old Trafford Stadium, the home of Manchester United, which we learned is not actually in Manchester! The gift shop was well-loved, and they loved us💲⚽️.
After lunch at the stadium we took the tram to the ginormous Manchester shopping center where we had two-and-a-half hours of cherished free time. TK Maxx was a definite fan favorite among our group, and some even went to an arcade!
The tram back to the hotel was full of exhausted kids excited for our hotel dinner. After a meal to remember, some even took a walk across the street accompanied by Mr. Kolaris to McDonald’s. The night ended with all of us trying to fit our new presents into our suitcases. We all loved the trip and ten long days, but we are excited to see our New Jersey friends and family.
