To start off our first day of Intensive Learning, Mrs. Van Meter taught everyone basic sewing skills to create our first project. Due to the varying skill levels in the group, everyone began by making a burp cloth. Students that had never even touched a sewing machine before completed their first project with ease. Everyone in the group began to work on slightly more advanced projects such as pants, bibs, hats, and fleece blankets. In the next few days, we plan to create many more projects, with growing confidence and skill.
