Seljalandsfoss Waterfall and the Blue Lagoon

After being bound to our hotel for most of yesterday, it was great to get back on the road early today. After departing our hotel, we ventured to the beautiful Seljalandsfoss Waterfall. While some parts of the waterfall were inaccessible because of the leftover snow and ice, it was still breathtaking to observe from a distance.

Following our visit to the waterfall, we had to take a long bus ride back to Reykjavík. Over a few hours littered with stops to get food and stretch our legs, we journeyed back to the hotel we stayed in on our first night. After unpacking our bags, we relaxed before getting back on our bus.

The hour-long bus ride was worth it for the Blue Lagoon. After we showered, the lagoon treated us to a warm and magical experience. Some of us chose to get silica masks and have a drink, while others decided to take a few minutes to relax. Either way, the lagoon was a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. After unwinding in the lagoon, we dined at one of the restaurants, which served us lobster soup as an appetizer, lamb for dinner, and ice cream for dessert.
