Today we finished working on our quilts by completing the fabric squares and surrounding them with a background fabric. Each pair created one quilt. After all the squares were sewed, ironed, and cut, we sewed them all together to accomplish our goal of completing the quilt top. Then, we took a break and ate some Tootsie Rolls from Mr. Brandon’s office. After that, we continued making quilt tops and sewing fabrics together. After lunch, we started working on small zipper bags to fill with toiletries. We got to chose two fabrics (an exterior and a lining) to put into our pouches. We used fabric and zippers to achieve this. Some of us were still finishing our quilt tops while some of us started this project. We are excited to travel to the factory tomorrow to finish off our quilts. -Kirstin
