For our third day in Careers in Music, we learned about songwriting. We started the day with Mr. Howard giving us some background on what it is like in that industry. Then, we watched two informative TED talks: one about a songwriter who writes for artists, and one giving us information on the whole songwriting industry. After lunch, we had a fascinating zoom with Nashville songwriter Claire Carruthers. She talked about the aspects of being a songwriter, the good and the bad. Overall today was a fun day, and we learned a lot about songwriting today!
