Day 1, Part 1: Takeoff
We started our trip with Chick-fil-A and pizza. After we made our way to JFK, we arrived at our gate;
however, just before boarding was supposed to start, we were told that we were missing one pilot
and we would have to be delayed 3 1⁄2 hours. We were all relieved once they found the pilot a
couple minutes later and then began boarding. After boarding they then told us again that we still
needed to wait for a pilot and we waited in our seats for another hour until taking off at around
9:15. Our flight was pretty bumpy, and many us of had trouble sleeping, but we finally landed in
Milan at around 4:30 am EST or 9:30 CET (Central European Time).
