WE GOT BIBBLE

BARB GOT THE DOG (BIBBLE)!!!

So today for breakfast we had waffles and bacon (and today is National Waffle Day so that makes it even better). Barb taught us about how dogs communicate with us via vocalization, body posture, and peeing (yet again we were forced to learn about something bathroom related). It seems like we’re starting our lecture earlier and earlier each day. Once we were freed the groups split up and swapped locations from yesterday.

Today we basically did the same thing as we did yesterday so …

Barb’s group from yesterday went to the Animal Adoption center to walk dogs. We walked and played with them for about an hour and a half. They had gotten some new dogs from Virginia including the white and brown puppy pictured above. We didn’t get to walk any of their new dogs but we really wanted to.

Judy’s group went to the Burlington County Animal Shelter. We played with a dog named Baby and also a few cats. Devon, who was a trainer, taught us about the adoption process and even helped to dispel some misconceptions about dog breeds. We took a tour of the kennel and fell in love with all the dogs. After the tour, we had snack time and made some dog toys. The highlight of our visit was getting to give the dogs their toys and see them excited. Go adopt dogs — they have a lot.
