Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus

We woke up after Alaska Aurora viewing, ate breakfast, and got on the bus for the Alaskan pipeline. After learning about the pipeline we played on an ice lake next to the pipeline for at least 10 minutes before going to an Alaska museum of culture and early history of Alaska with lots of interesting information about the entirety of the state. Then we went to Fred Myers for a snack/lunch/pit stop before we got back on the road. We then had the awesome experience of the city of North Pole where it’s always Christmas. We saw reindeer and Santa Claus and a menagerie of other Christmas related items. Then most of us headed back to the hotel to relax, hit the gym, and edit photos. We then had dinner at the Food Factory, where we all had a wonderful meal.

After dinner, we stopped by the Ice Art Park before going back to Aurora Point. The park was the size of a carnival and just as fun. Long trails passed through woods full of artfully sculpted ice, some pieces towering over even the tallest in the group. The park featured a giant ice slide, illuminated by a rainbow of lights. Soon the races began and the air was filled with laughter and shrieks of joy. The bitter cold bothered no one as we flew through the air, stopping only when it was time to board the bus in the hopes of seeing the Northern Lights.
