Bienvenidos al viaje a España!

Here are some quotes before our departure!

When asked how they are feeling, our brave, yet soulful, travelers responded like so:

Mary: I am so excited to be flying today. I brought my CD player and am taking it back 90s style with an early 90s, 5 volume hip-hop mix that will hopefully lull me to sleep on our 8-hour flight. Listening to the calming, yet empowering voice of Missy Elliot will hopefully inspire some great sleep.

Leo: *shrugs* I hope I see an ancient painting of myself.

Andrew: I AM HYPE!

Camille: HYPE! BUT! I am not feeling 24 hours of traveling.

Noah: I’m excited to see a new part of the world that I have always wanted to visit!

Rachael: I’m excited! I have a lot of sleeping to catch up on on the plane! I’m worried I am not going to understand the Castillian accent.

Alex: I think I’ll miss Mr. Thomson most of all.

Andayah: Do you believe? I believe.

Ahimsa: I’m feeling good because my suitcase only weighs 32 lbs. And I’m excited to relax on the plane!

Natalie: I’m so excited and we’re gonna go on the plane and it’s gonna be fun and we’re gonna get there and I’m not gonna go on my phone until I get on the plane. Save battery. Pumped. Spain.

Melissa: YIPEEEEEEEEE.

Rebecca: I wanna go so bad!!! I’m so excited!

Jess: I don’t know yet. Excited for airplane food. I actually really love airplane food.

Maura: I don’t know. I’m super excited and I love airports. I had super good beef jerky on the last plane ride, so I’m looking forward for some more teriyaki jerky.

Grace: I am feeling FANTáSTICA

Caroline: Oh I don’t have a quote. HYPEBEAST!

Kirin: I have nothing.

Matthew: We are gonna play some sick airport games.

Elijah: I have no clue. That’s it. Nah.

Kelcie: I got my adult coloring book and I am so excited for it! I am content with this quote.

Sra. Paolello: I am … oh gosh. I feel blessed to be travelling with such a wonderful group.

Mr. Kelly: READY TO GO!

Mrs. Washington: Uh SUPéR con mucha energía!

A great bonding moment just occurred: 7 people brought adult coloring books and are currently having a mini art show to exhibit their work. Melissa described her coloring experience as: “I stress color.” After that sneak peak at a bonding moment that is currently happening in Room 105A, we are very sure that this trip is going to be full of community-based, hands-on, Quaker, SPICES-full bonding. Needless to say, after that moment of adult coloring book-fueled excitement, spirits are high. We are ready to travel the open skies.
