Today we spent the entire day at FES participating in workshops and classes with the community members. In the first part of the day we had the option of finishing the mural, making bread, making dream catchers and mosaics, or working in the garden. We had lunch and merienda with the community and had a siesta, or nap time, which is very typical of Spain.
After our activities we were invited to dinner in the homes of the community members. This was a time to make more personal connections with the community members and get to know their families and their stories.
To end the night, the community held a gathering where we sang songs, shared memories, and gave thanks for all that the community had given us. Being at FES was a great experience, and we will always remember the values of this community.
Tomorrow we will visit Córdoba on our way to Sevilla and we are very excited!!!!
