Finding Inspiration at the BAPS Mandir

Today we visited the BAPS Mandir in Robbinsville, New Jersey.  BAPS is a Hindu religious, humanitarian, cultural, and peace-oriented organization that focuses on humanitarian causes, spirituality, and building strong character.

The Mandir, which is a Hindu place of worship, was started in 2005 and will not be finished until 2020. There are 5 different buildings that occupy over 65 acres of land. This Mandir was made possible by many volunteers and artisans. The funding of the building came from people who believe in Hinduism from all across the world.

Hindus believe in nonviolence and believe they are at the feet of God. The marking on the forehead is there to show that they are close to God. After visiting Mandir, we went to Palace of Asia for an Indian buffet. We enjoyed many different varieties of Indian food. We felt highly inspired to be more religious because the building was so astonishing. Just look at our pictures!
