Our Final Day in Paris: Au Revoir!

On our sixth and final day, we started off by going to a science museum. Our favorite exhibits were the planetarium and the optical illusions. After that, we traveled by Metro to the Montmartre. After walking up a copious amount of steps, we made it to the top. We were given time to explore and purchase some much-sought-after macaroons. We also stopped in a lovely little gelato shop. Then we went to the beautiful Sacre Coeur Cathedral that had a beautifully ornate interior and an amazing view of Paris. Next, we took the Metro to the Musee D’Orsay and admired many famous works of art by Monet, Van Gogh, and other artists. We enjoyed a quick cup of coffee and tea at a cafe where we were served by a frustrated waiter, and we encountered a challenging math experience when counting everyone’s various Euros to pay for the bill. Lastly, we boarded a cruise on the Seine for dinner. We enjoyed each other’s company and took pictures as we passed the magnificently lit and sparkly Eiffel Tower. It was a great ending to our trip.

  1. You will never forget this trip! Here’s a math problem: how many of you will get back to London and how of you will get back to Paris? Within the next 17 years?
And how many miles (or kilometers) are there between the 2 cities? And if the Chunnel travels any faster how many more macaroons will you eat?
