The Middle East: The Modern Events and the Ancient Artifacts!

On Tuesday, the Asian Culture Club made our return to Philadelphia, and our location was UPenn at University City. We first visited the Middle East center of UPenn, and three graduate students taught us a myriad of information about Iran, Turkey, and other Middle Eastern countries. We learned about the history of rulers, the Iranian Revolution, the school systems, and more!

When we were finished at the Middle Eastern Center, we walked to a hummus grill. There was a lot of good food for the students to try!

The last activity we participated on our trip was visiting the Penn Museum. There, we saw the China & Japan, Israel and other Middle Eastern countries, mummies, and other exhibits. Our group was intrigued by the China & Japan exhibit, and the mummies exhibit. The glass cases were filled with strange, yet amusing products of their time. There were many utensils, jewelry, figurines, and little trifles that lay in the cases, worn out from age and eroding.
