Visit to the Animal Adoption Center and Tour de Moorestown

Today half of us stayed at school  and half of us went to the AAC shelter in Lindenwold. Back at school, we walked around Main Street to evaluate how pet friendly Main Street and other streets were. We noticed that some restaurants  have outdoor seating that can allow canine companions to stay with them.  Main Streets  has wide sidewalks, which makes it safer for pedestrians and dogs to share.  However, there are not enough trash cans on Second Street and not enough places for dogs to use the bathroom.

At the shelter, we played with dogs waiting to be adopted and helped clean part of the cat’s equipment.  The dogs and staff were very nice and we all had a great time. We dropped off some of the rope toys we have been making. It is very important for dogs at shelters to have stimulation and social contact. Afterwards we all went for an IL family lunch at Carollo’s for some bonding time. We even got some free wings, courtesy of Amanda Kezbari’s father.
