Woods to Walls: Spring and Snow

Happy first day of spring! Today, we split up into two groups: the first group stayed inside and started painting the walls, and the second group went outside and started clearing the area for the outdoor classroom.

The painting crew peeled off the wallpaper, spackled the holes and sanded them smooth. Then we painted the walls blue. By the end of the day we finished both coats of paint on all the walls and started sketching out the designs for all three murals. (Sujin played her playlist while we painted. It was fire.)

The outdoor crew persevered despite the (very) snowy and wet weather conditions. We used saws to cut the ivy vines off the trees and raked up the leaves. We had to head in early because the snow started coming down pretty fast, so we helped the painters finish faster.
