Day One

After two flights – Philly to Miami and Miami to San Jose, we finally arrived in Costa Rica!
Once we arrived, we got on the bus for the trip and headed towards our lodge. On the way, we stopped for lunch and had phenomenal strawberry smoothies and a choice of steak, chicken, or pork.
After lunch, we continued to drive towards the lodge and stopped at a beautiful waterfall on the way. We were able to get out of the bus, take pictures, and admire the view.
Finally, we arrived at the Selva Verde Lodge and got ready for the bat cave! We learned about the bats and were able to see and pet them.
After a long day of traveling and exploring, we went back to our room to shower and sleep.
Our first day was amazing, and we can’t wait to see what fun the next days of our trip brings!
