Today we began our adventure by learning all about the Pine Barrens from a variety of perspectives: historical, cultural, ecological, and, surprisingly, political. We began the day by sorting ourselves into our research, blogging, and video project groups. Each group researched the sites we will visit during this project, and completed a slide deck that will be used each morning to introduce the day’s adventure. We also researched the Jersey Devil and began preparations for our “chasing the Jersey Devil” videos. To better understand the Pine Barrens, we watched portions of “The Pine Barrens” video while enjoying freshly popped popcorn, thanks to Mr. Miller’s fabulous machine! We finished the day outdoors where we took a walk in the woods and continued planning our videos. We look forward to Monday’s excursion to Batsto Village!
