South Jersey Service Day 1: Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge

Our day began as we boarded the bus to Woodford Cedar Run where we raked and collected leaves to clean up the trails around the animal enclosures. Although it was cold and windy, we were able to work as a team and clear out more land than we could imagine! We even got to see some animals in the process. When we looked at all the bags of leaves we had collected, we felt proud of our efforts and then headed off to lunch. After lunch we came back to school to make cards and place-mats for a local soup kitchen. Although today was cold and windy, we had a lot of fun and look forward to day 2.
